Executive Director Faculty Student Association (FSA)
The Faculty Student Association (FSA) of Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York seeks a full-time Executive Director. Jefferson Community College is located in the Northern New York Thousand Island Region.
The Executive Director is the Chief Operating Officer of FSA and reports to the FSA Board of Directors, an Auxiliary Services Corporation. The Director is responsible for management and oversight of bookstore, food services, campus day care, vending, campus catering and provides overall direction to its auxiliary enterprises. The Director organizes, evaluates, and directs the affairs of the Corporation including administrative, fiscal, operational, long-range planning and personnel management, as well as maintaining appropriate records, produce FSA publications, recommend operating policies/procedures, and manage/oversee organizational technology. Additionally, the Director advises Board of Directors on financial status of the Association, assists in budget development, monitors expense/income records and financial reports.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or related field with three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should be able to demonstrate progressively responsible leadership experience in an upper-level managerial position managing one or more auxiliary enterprises. The successful candidate will exhibit familiarity with finance, budgeting, business and tax laws, personnel benefits, retail sales, human resources management, experience with financial software packages, business development, contract administration, and fiscal management. Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership and supervisory skills required.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in Business Administration; auxiliary operations experience in a higher education setting; background in bookstore and food service operations, as well as day care, and contracts. The Executive Director should be proactive in seeking new services and opportunities to support and contribute to the mission, goals, and objectives of Jefferson Community College FSA.

Learning Skills Specialist Math
Jefferson Community College, located in northern New York State near the shores of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River, currently serves about 3,600 students pursuing credit courses in Liberal Arts, Math and Science, and Business for transfer or career purposes.
The College is conducting a search for a Learning Skills Specialist (Math), responsible for providing tutoring / assistance to students; coordinating professional and peer tutors; and collaborating with math faculty.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in math or math related field and three years of professional experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered); excellent communication skills; and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred: Tutoring experience; ability to use math tutorial software & graphing calculators; ability to relate to students, including high risk students; and an understanding of community college philosophy.

ADJUNCT INSTRUCTORS
The College seeks qualified applicants in all disciplines for part-time adjunct instructor positions to teach days and evenings, during summer, fall, and spring terms. Currently the college is especially interested in adjuncts who can teach, accounting, algebra, American Sign Language, anatomy & physiology, anthropology, Arabic, composition, economics, elementary statistics, general business/management, German, history, literature, mathematics, music (including piano instruction), nursing, personal finance, philosophy, psychology, reading, sociology, Spanish, Speech/Communications and web design.
