Public Safety Career Program Oct. 21 at JCC

A Careers in Public Safety information session will take place at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, in the Robert R. and Jean S. Sturtz Theater at Jefferson Community College. The Careers in Public Safety program is designed to provide information about career options in the fields of criminal justice, law enforcement, emergency management, homeland security, paramedic, and fire protection.

Learn more about the current job market, salaries, hiring practices and educational requirements from a panel of experts in the field of public safety. Panelists include representatives from the Watertown Fire Department, Syracuse Police Department, New York State Police, Watertown Police Department, Cape Vincent Correctional, Guilfoyle, Jefferson County Emergency Management, the Jefferson County District Attorney, Oswego County Undersheriff and NYS Border Patrol. College admission and financial aid information will also be available and instructors will be on hand to answer questions about JCC’s programs.
