Ms. Nelson and Mr. Southcott were among 60 students from across all SUNY campuses honored April 7 at the annual All-New York Awards Luncheon of Phi Theta Kappa at the SUNY Plaza in Albany, New York.

“I congratulate our students for earning admittance to Phi Theta Kappa, one of the nations most prestigious academic honor societies for two-year colleges,” said Interim SUNY Chancellor John B. Clark. “Together with their families, the community college trustees, campus presidents, faculty and staff, we share a deep sense of pride and satisfaction in the social and academic accomplishments of these outstanding students.”

The Phi Theta Kappa ceremony is jointly sponsored by the New York Community College Trustees, the Association of Presidents of Public Community Colleges and the Faculty Council of Community Colleges.
