Through a partnership with Monroe Community College, Jefferson Community College is again offering a dental hygiene associate degree program in the Watertown area. Beginning in the Fall 2008 semester, Jefferson will offer non-dental hygiene course requirements in the program on its Coffeen Street campus. Monroe will instruct the dental hygiene courses online and will provide the clinical instruction in Watertown. The associate in applied science (A.A.S.) degree will be granted by Monroe Community College to students who successfully complete the program requirements.
This is the second time that Jefferson and Monroe have partnered to offer the dental hygiene program in Watertown. The first program, which began in September of 2006, is scheduled to graduate eligible students in May.
Space in this program is limited. To learn more, prospective students should attend JCC’s Dental Hygiene Information Session to be held at Jefferson Community College on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in Room 2-107 of the Guthrie Science Building.
