Musicians Invited to Join JCC's Orch./Wind Ensemble

The Community Orchestra and Wind Ensemble at Jefferson Community College (JCC) will begin spring semester rehearsals on February 27th at Sturtz Theater.

Both the orchestra and wind ensemble are open to area musicians, and interested community members are invited to join either or both ensembles. In previous years, the groups have been comprised of high school students, college students, active and retired music teachers, members of the 10th Mountain Division Band and other community members. There is no audition to join.

Rehearsals will take place Wednesday evenings February 27th through May 7th concluding with a concert for the community on Friday, May 9th.

The Community Orchestra and Wind Ensemble will study and perform a broad selection of musical works under the baton of conductor and director of military programs, Donald R. Johnson.
