The Center for Community Studies (CCS) at Jefferson Community College (JCC) will hold a formal presentation by entrepreneur and author Jack Schultz, on Thursday, March 27th at 7:00 p.m. in Sturtz Theater, Jules Center. The presentation on “Hometown Entrepreneurs” is part of the CCS’ community speaker series. The event is free and open to the public.
The Hometown Entrepreneurs presentation stems from Schultz’s book, “Boomtown USA: The 7½ Keys to Big Success in Small Towns.” Schultz shares the hows and whys, the dos and don’ts behind the key to building a brighter future in the community. The presentation is of interest to community and agricultural developers, public officials and the general business community.
Jack Schultz is founder and CEO of Agracel, Inc., an industrial development firm focused on creating jobs in small rural towns. Schultz holds an MBA from Harvard and was named Ernst & Young’s Illinois Entrepreneur of the Year and received the Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion for Entrepreneurship. Schultz’ research has been featured in many business and economic publications including Forbes, BusinessWeek, and Economic Development America.
