Roberts & Patterson Named JCC Co-Athletes of the Week
Freshman golfer Wesley Thomas Roberts, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) golf team, and freshman second baseman, Emily E. Patterson of the Jefferson's women's softball team, were named JCC co-athletes of the week for the week ending May 5, 2008. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions.
Roberts, a 2007 graduate of South Jefferson Central School, is majoring in liberal arts at JCC. Wesley’s accomplishments on the course during the past week include Midstate Conference Medalist at the Red Baron Invitational with low score of 78 and finished tied for 3rd in the Tompkins Cortland Tournament. He carries an average of 80.25.
Patterson, a 2007 graduate of General Brown Central School, is majoring in early childhood education at Jefferson. Emily’s accomplishments on the field for the past week include 2 wins again Clinton Community College and a split with Erie Community College. She has had an 8 game hitting streak with a batting average of .411. Emily also had 7 RBI's.
