A Look Inside the JHEC
An Academic Environment Designed for the Adult Learner
The Extended Learning Center (Building E), which houses the Jefferson Higher Education Center and most partner institution classes, was created with the adult learner in mind.
Classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art smart technology and comfortable seating for small group study. The facility also offers distance learning and seminar-styled classrooms and a quiet student study area.
A student lounge, complete with refrigerator, microwave and vending machines, offers a place to snack between classes, store belongings, and study over the course of an evening or weekend. Laptops with wireless internet access are available for students to sign out and use in the building.
