Library Instruction Classroom Use Guidelines

The primary purpose of the Library Instruction Classroom is to support the information literacy instruction and research needs of our students, librarians and faculty. In order to ensure the availability of the classroom for these purposes, it will not be used to accommodate semester long courses or regularly scheduled events.

All library instruction requests must be made at least two weeks in advance and faculty must be in attendance with their students each time.  Faculty can also schedule up to two follow-up research days as long as the class has received library instruction by that time. Students can use the classroom for individual or group study as long as the room is not in use or has not been previously scheduled.

One-time use of the room for a purpose other than information literacy instruction requires a reservation. Reservations may not be made any further in advance than two weeks.  Requests can be made directly through Carleen Huxley, Coordinator of Library Instruction at ext. 2402 or chuxley@sunyjefferson.edu.
