For International Students
If you are not a citizen of the United States, you must study at the College under an F-1 non-immigrant student visa. If you are a permanent resident of the United States, you are not considered an international student and you may follow the normal admissions procedures.
As an international student, you should complete admissions materials from Jefferson Community College at least 2 months prior to the start of the semester for which you wish to enroll. You must complete all steps listed below before your application can be reviewed and an admission decision can be made.
Upon acceptance, an I-20 Certificate of Eligibility for non-immigrant (F-1) students will be issued concurrent with an acceptance letter to the College.
