Student Activities
Student Activities Center
While at Jefferson Community College, you have the opportunity to get involved through the Student Activities Center (SAC), which is the home to approximately 30 clubs and organizations including Student Government (SG). SAC staff help guide our student club leaders to develop programs and activities, assist with navigating the financial process, and provide a work space for the clubs and organizations. The SAC also plans on-campus entertainment and activities for students during the academic year, often in conjunction with the Social Cultural Committee, and most of which is free of charge. The “free hour” (generally around Noon) on any given weekday may include a musician, comedian, hypnotist, poet, rapper, 10-minute chair massages, study snacks, or novelty program such as spray can art or butt sketches.
Jefferson SAC offers you:
- Social cultural events
- 30+ clubs to enhance your learning experience
- Leadership opportunities
- Work study experience as event managers
As a JCC student, you can also take of a number of other special services including:
- Discounted Regal Cinema movie tickets
- Tickets for campus-sponsored programs
- Tickets for selected seasonal attractions
- Board games, playing cards and special supply loans for on-campus use
