COOKING SERIES
Jefferson’s cooking and baking workshops are taught by the best! Janet “Boo” Wells owns her own catering business, Farmhouse Kitchen, and is an adjunct instructor at Jefferson. She is also the visiting chef for Jefferson’s Table. Cathy Gallagher is a graduate of Jefferson and owns her own business, Desserts by Design. In addition to being an adjunct instructor at JCC, Cathy is also the dessert chef at Sboro’s Restaurant. Pope Vickers, an assistant professor of business at JCC, is a certified ServSafe instructor and Food Managment Professional through the National Restaurant Association. Pope oversees the Jefferson’s Table luncheon and dinner series and is the ServSafe Certification instructor at JCC. Cindy Hall-Swan has taught food prep classes for Watertown City Schools for 28 years and also owns a not-for-profit catering business, Our Memories Catering.

DANCE & MUSIC SERIES
Tango & Merengue
Increase your dance and versatility by learning Tango and Merengue. Tango is an expressive, bold dance that has been popular for decades. The basic step is easily learned and great fun for mixed partners. Merengue is the simplest of any dance you will ever learn. Done to Latin music with a march-like tempo, it is popular in salsa clubs and elsewhere worldwide. In this class, you will learn the basics of these two dances, plus as many additional steps as time allows. You will be asked to change partners as a way to improve leading and following. The overall emphasis will be to learn to recognize the music, dance the basics, use correct technique, and enjoy yourself. Partners are not necessary.(CED 257 701)
