*ESB CORE* Creating a Business Plan
This non-credit workshop guides participants through the process of writing a business plan for a small business or new venture. Participants will research, develop, and write detailed business plans, which can be used to create successful businesses. This is a 15 week commitment. Required software for the workshop is Business Plan Pro by Palo Alto Software http://www.paloalto.com/business_plan_software/index_b.cfm. Entrepreneurial Training Course
Are you interested in starting or expanding a small business? You’ll discover how to prepare a business plan, what types of loans you can apply for, and what types of insurance you should have. As well as how to check your credit and address any related problems. You’ll learn about Contract Agreements, Marketing, Micro-Enterprise Program, and Bookkeeping. Stress Management Skills
Are you quick to resort to bickering or fighting to solve problems? Learn the signs of stress and the effect it can have on the body and mind. Hidden Phonics Rules
This workshop is for teaching professionals who want to delve deeper into the rules of phonics to find hidden rules. For example, how do we explain why the letter ‘a’ in wash and watch says the short sound of o? The reason you want to consciously know these rules is so you can explain them to your students who do not grasp them intuitively. ServSafe Certification one 8-hour day course!
We’ve made it easier for you to obtain ServSafe certification! JCC is offering a one day 8-hour course. It will prepare your restaurant operation to meet the new state mandated training requirements for foodservice personnel. This workshop will empower employees with the knowledge and skills they need to prepare and serve foods safely. The tuition covers the cost of the ServSafe Essentials textbook, exam, and proctoring of the exam. Each class is limited to 10 participants. Choose one day that works best for your schedule. Financing Your Business
Want to start a business or expand your existing company? Then you’ll probably need money. This workshop will give you an overview of the process, from creating financial forecasts and determining your credit status to identifying sources for funding. We’ll look at traditional lenders like banks and some non-traditional programs available locally, such as microloans. Certified Personal Trainer Prep Course
This course will prepare you to take the examination for a nationally recognized Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) Certification provided through the National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) Board for Certification. The course bridges the gap between exercise science related coursework and the practical application skills required for personal training. Learn how to properly screen and evaluate clients for safe participation in an exercise program; design and implement exercise prescriptions for multiple populations for successful goal attainment; proficiently supervise clients; and be prepared to sit for a NCSF- CPT Exam.
