Adult and Youth Workshops

Kids Workshop The Continuing Education Division offers community members the opportunity to take non-credit courses for personal enrichment or professional development throughout the year. Known as workshops and seminars, JCC offers a wide variety of topics including those for working adults who want to enhance their professional skills, as well as those for both adults and children seeking personal enrichment through learning and discovery. Professional development workshop topics range from pre-certification courses to popular computer software training to entrepreneurship. Personal enrichment topics range from cooking to arts/crafts to ballroom dancing to hiking.

In addition to family-friendly workshops like the kids-in-the-kitchen series, Jefferson also offers weeklong camps for kids during the summer months. Youth (grades K-12) programs are conveniently scheduled during school breaks and weekends.

Workshops and seminars are offered on campus or online through JCC’s educational partners Education To Go and Gatlin.

Workshops are added on a regular basis, so please check our professional growth, personal enrichment and youth and families workshop listings (at left) often. If you are looking for workshop offerings on a particular date, visit Jefferson’s online events calendar.

You can also find a complete list of all Continuing Education (CED) workshops scheduled on campus in the SOAR Course Schedule. Once in SOAR, choose Course Section Search, choose the term (Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer) and click Submit, then choose Continuing Education (CED) as the subject and the desired days and times.

Do you have an idea for a workshop? Please complete the Suggest a Workshop Topic form. If you are interested in teaching a workshop, please complete the Apply to Teach a Workshop form.
