Online Placement Testing
Eligibility Criteria | General Services | Adaptive Technology | Guidelines & Forms
If you have been referred for online testing by either the Admissions or Continuing Education Office (not including eArmyU students), please follow the instructions listed below.
- Ask someone from your community to proctor your test. The proctor
must be adult, professional, and unrelated to you. Try a local library
or college. The proctor needs to be available during the time of your
test, so be sure to inform the person that he/she will need to clear
enough time in his/her schedule. The test generally takes at least
two hours to complete.
- Discuss possible dates and times with the proctor and agree upon
a few that will work for both of you.
- Give the proctor the phone number for the Scanlon Learning Skills
Center ((315)786-2288 or toll free, (888)435-6522, ask for Learning
Skills). He/She must call the Center and speak with the Testing Administrator
before the test can be given. The Testing Administrator will discuss
with the proctor the testing process. The proctor will choose a date
and time for the test with the Administrator.
- After you have taken the placement test, call the Learning Skills Center to speak with the Testing Administrator about your test results.
If you have any questions regarding the distance testing process, please call the Learning Skills Center to speak with the Testing Administrator.
