Placement Testing
Study Guide | Sample Test | Online Testing
JCC's placement testing program is run in conjunction with the College Admissions Office. The LSC administers placement tests to all full- and part-time matriculated students as well as to any other student planning to enroll in a math or English course. With JCC's open admission policy, placement testing serves as a guide to success for all JCC students.
A study guide and review packets for the placement test are available upon request in the LSC. For more information about placement testing and for practice questions online, go to the sample test. Students who require accommodations for placement testing should refer to the information on the Disability Services pages.
More information is available for students who have been referred by Admissions or Continuing Education for online placement testing.
Placement testing services are provided through the Learning and Success Center (LSC) at Jefferson. The LSC provides the academic support and assistance that students need to achieve success in college and beyond. In addition to placement testing, the LSC provides disability services and professional and peer tutoring services at no charge to all full- and part-time JCC students, regardless of their program of study. The LSC also provides a comfortable area for individual and small-group study.
