Professional Tutoring | Peer Tutoring
Student tutors are recommended by JCC faculty and paid to tutor either individual or small groups of students who are experiencing difficulty in their course work. Tutoring takes place on campus and is available for any course taught by JCC, not covered by professional tutoring.
To request a peer tutor, stop by the LSC and fill out a Peer Tutor Request. The identity of a student requesting a tutor will not be revealed to the instructor. The Peer Tutor Coordinator will contact the instructor, requesting that he/she select a course tutor. Approximately one week after a request is made, the peer tutor's schedule will be posted, and the tutor will be available a few hours a week for walk-in tutoring in the LSC.
