APA FORMAT FOR CITING ELECTRONIC LIBRARY DATABASES
Basic form using first example below
Author’s last name, comma, first and middle initials followed
by periods. If more than one author use comma, ampersand, and second
author in the same way as the first:
McCabe, M. P., & Ricciardelli, L. A.
Year of publication in parentheses, period: (2003).
Title of article, period. Capitalize only the first word and proper nouns. Body
image and strategies to lose weight and increase muscle among boys and girls.
Source publication, comma, volume number, all in italics: Health
Psychology, 22
Issue number in parentheses, comma, page range, period: (1), 39-46.
Date retrieved, comma: Retrieved October 2, 2003,
From which database, period: from PsycArticles database.
Put together the citation should look like this, with first line beginning at margin and subsequent lines indented. All text should be double-spaced.
