  • No renewals are possible for items on hold.
  • When an item on hold is returned to the library, the person requesting the hold will be contacted by phone and the item will be held for checkout for 72 hours. After 72 hours the hold is cancelled and the item is returned to the shelf.

Materials from Other Libraries (Information Delivery Services - {I.D.S.})

  • Books obtained via I.D.S. are checked out to the patron by the I.D.S. office. Patrons are notified via e-mail or phone and pick up the items at the Circulation and Reserves desk.
  • Contact the I.D.S. office 48 hours before the due date to request renewals of materials. Renewals are dictated by the library that has loaned the material to us.
  • The fine for an overdue book obtained via Information Delivery Services from another library is $1.00 a day, WITH NO MAXIMUM AMOUNT.
  • Due to the costs associated with obtaining books from other libraries, a fine of $3.00 per item will be charged for items ordered via I.D.S. and not picked up within 10 days of the date the patron was notified of the arrival of the item.
