ILLiad - Borrow Articles and Books from Other Libraries
Use ILLiad for Interlibrary Loan to request books, articles and other materials from other libraries.
Before you submit a request for an interlibrary loan book, please check the JCC library collection in CannonCat. For article requests, please check the JCC Databases.
Renew Interlibrary Loan materials: To renew online, log into your ILLiad account. Under “Checked Out Items”, click onto the transaction number and choose “Renew Request”. Renewals can be done online until the date the item is due. Phone, email and in person renewal requests should be done 48 hours prior to the due date. The renewal is at the sole discretion of the lending library. If your renewal is denied, we will contact you to let you know. You will then need to return the material immediately. Failure to return materials on time can result in fines.
Interlibrary Loan Service summary and policies: Our interlibrary loan service can obtain materials from other libraries that are not available at the Melvil Dewey Library (due to the item being checked out, lost, missing, on order, etc). Articles are sent electronically to your email address. All other materials will be available at the library Circulation Desk for check out.
Fines for JCC students and community patrons: Any interlibrary loan items are subject to fines of $1.00 per day for every day that the material is overdue with no maximum amount. Lost or damaged items will be charged to your library account according to what the lending library charges. Grades and transcripts will be held until all fees are paid through the Financial Services Office.
