The Melvil Dewey Library Information Literacy Tutorial is designed to help JCC students develop Information Literacy skills. The American Library Association (link opens a new window and leaves this site) defines Information Literacy as "... a set of abilities requiring individuals to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the needed information."
