Accessing JCC Library Databases from Your Home or Office
Remote access to the library’s online databases is available to current JCC students, faculty, and staff using the following procedure:
- Go to http://www.sunyjefferson.edu
- Under “Current Students” choose “Library”
- Click on the “Articles – JCC Databases” link on the left menu under Begin Research Here
- Select a subject category and then select a database
- You will be prompted for a username and password.
- Your username and password is the same as your Network ID (the username and password used to log onto computers on campus) and your Blackboard login.
- The username is your first initial, your last name (all in lower case) and the month and day of your birth date (mmdd format). Omit spaces and punctuation; include zero for Jan. – Sept. months of birth.
- Your password, if you have not changed it, is your birth date in six-digit format (mmddyy). Include zero for Jan. – Sept. months of birth.

- John Doe, born July 5, 1985.
Username: jdoe0705
Password: 070585 - Jane Doe-Smith, born October 13, 1976
Username: jdoesmith1013
Password: 101376

- You are required to change your password every semester. If you have not done so, you may need to have your password reset.
