Watertown, NY - Freshman Middle Blocker, Ashley M. Capone, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Volleyball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending October 7, 2012. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions. Ashley, a graduate of Lowville Academy, is majoring in Mathematics and Science at Jefferson. Capone’s accomplishments on the court this past weekend in the Cara Bryant Tournament at Onondaga Community College showed what a steady force she is. She compiled 28 kills, 11 blocks, and 25 service points. Ashley was a very strong offensive force for the team and made many smart plays.
