Catch the Holiday Spirit with Music at JCC
Jefferson Community College students will perform their annual holiday concerts in December. Concerts, held in the Robert R. and Jean S. Sturtz Theater, are free admission.
On Tuesday, December 4 the college choir, Jefferson Singers, and the JCC jazz rock ensemble will perform a medley of seasonal selections at 7:00 p.m. The Jefferson Singers are under the direction of Dennis R. Pucci, Carthage, and the Jazz Rock Ensemble is under the direction of Steven B. Lester, Sackets Harbor.
On Wednesday, December 12 the JCC orchestra and wind ensemble will showcase their musical talents at 7:30 p.m. The orchestra and wind ensembles are under the baton of conductor Daniel L. Mosher, Carthage.
The Jefferson Singers, JCC jazz rock ensemble and the orchestra and wind ensembles are credit-bearing humanities courses open to anyone. Community members not seeking college credit may audit the course for one-third of the cost of tuition, and individuals over 60 years of age may qualify for a tuition waiver to join the ensemble free.
For more information about the community concerts, call the JCC humanities department, 315-786-2328. To learn about other exciting events happening on campus, click here.
