Center for Community Studies to Conduct Jefferson County Survey of the Community April 1-4

The Center for Community Studies at Jefferson Community College (JCC) will conduct the 14th annual Survey of the Community during the first week in April. Students from the College will be making 350-400 telephone calls to randomly selected households in Jefferson County between 4:00 and 9:00 p.m. each evening April 1 through April 4.

The purpose of the survey is to assess attitudes and opinions of Jefferson County residents on a number of community issues and to track trends over time. Community members are encouraged to talk with the students and share their opinions on a variety of topics relating to life in Jefferson County. The survey includes questions regarding the economy, political issues, volunteerism and quality of life.

The telephone numbers selected for inclusion in the survey are completely anonymous and randomly chosen.

The results of the survey will be released by the Center for Community Studies in June and will be made available through the Center for Community Studies on the Jefferson Community College website.
