JCC Adjunct Instructor Soon to be Published

Jefferson Community College (JCC) adjunct instructor, Margot C. Jacoby of Copenhagen, will soon be published for her first book, a biography of her daughter Martha Papworth O’Neill, entitled Love Lives (cover image above). Papworth O’Neill, a former adjunct instructor at JCC who taught journalism and reading, died of metastatic renal cell carcinoma, or known as kidney cancer, in 2010.

Love Lives will be released on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at JCC during the 2nd annual walk/run fundraiser to benefit the Martha Papworth O’Neill memorial scholarship. Copies of Love Lives will be available for sale at the walk/run. Registration will held at 9:00 a.m. on August 24 in the foyer of the McVean Gymnasium. To pre-register for the event, call the JCC athletics office at 315-786-2232 or email Rachael Riordan at rriordan@sunyjefferson.edu. Participants who pre-register will receive a free t-shirt. Cost is $20 per person and free for children ages 12 and under. A kickball tournament, raffles and music provided by local band, Beautiful Wreck, will follow the walk/run.

Jacoby teaches English and humanities courses at Jefferson and holds an associate’s degree from Cazenovia College, a bachelor’s degree from Le Moyne College and a master’s from Hollins University.
