Conversational ArabicOctober 06, 2015 - October 22, 2015

“Marhaban becoom fee dars al Arabia”, translation: Welcome all of you in Arabic class! Are you interested in learning more about Arab culture including language, culture, tradition, and history? The Arabic language dominates an immense geographic area, stretching all the way from Middle East to South Africa. Course materials have been selected to expose students to Arabic culture and language. This class starts at the very beginning level. You will learn the alphabet with rules for vowels and script formation. The instructor’s method enables you to recognize the structure of Arabic, so that you can use your innate ability to learn a foreign language as well as utilize your own style of learning.

Great Decisions is a civic education program devoted to foreign affairs. The Foreign Policy Association has put together an outstanding briefing book that focuses on current events. Introduction to Voice ActingOctober 07, 2015

Ever been told you have a great voice? From audio books and cartoons to documentaries, commercials, and more, this class will introduce you to the growing field of voice over. We’ll discuss industry pros and cons and play samples from working voice professionals. In addition, you’ll have an opportunity to record a short professional script under the direction of our teacher. This class is lots of fun, realistic, and a great first step for anyone interested in the voice over field.

West Coast Swing!October 14, 2015 - November 18, 2015

West Coast Swing is smooth (no bounce) and danced in a slot. The dance allows room for syncopated footwork and improvisation. Followers have more freedom than any other dance, performing their syncopations at will. West Coast Swing can be danced to a wide range of music including Rhythm and Blues, Country Western, Funk, Disco, Rock and Pop. Experience with ballroom dance is helpful.
