Introduction to Voice Acting*Multiple Dates

Ever been told you have a great voice? From audio books and cartoons to documentaries, commercials, and more, this class will introduce you to the growing field of voice over. We’ll discuss industry pros and cons and play samples from working voice professionals. In addition, you’ll have an opportunity to record a short professional script under the direction of our teacher. This class is lots of fun, realistic, and a great first step for anyone interested in the voice over field.

Jazz Rock EnsembleJanuary 20, 2015 - May 05, 2015

The Jazz Rock Ensemble is the College's popular music instrumental ensemble. This course requires instrumentalists to rehearse and perform music literature from popular music, including such various genres as the blues and jazz to musical theater and rock music. Participants must supply their own musical instrument. There is no audition for the music ensemble, although a selection process may be necessary to achieve balance in the group. JCC Orchestra & Wind EnsembleMultiple Dates

All ages of musicians are welcome to join the JCC Orchestra and JCC Wind Ensemble. There is no audition for either music ensemble, although a selection process may be necessary to achieve balance in some sections. String players with any experience are especially welcome in the JCC Orchestra. The musical repertoire will include all genres--from classical to pop music. Learn ArabicMarch 10, 2015 - March 19, 2015

“Marhaban becoom fee dars al Arabia”, translation: Welcome all of you in Arabic class! Are you interested in learning more about Arab culture including language, culture, tradition, and history? The Arabic language dominates an immense geographic area, stretching all the way from Middle East to South Africa. Course materials have been selected to expose students to Arabic culture and language. This class starts at the very beginning level. You will learn the alphabet with rules for vowels and script formation. The instructor’s method enables you to recognize the structure of Arabic, so that you can use your innate ability to learn a foreign language as well as utilize your own style of learning.
