This workshop is open to adults who want to learn basic figure drawing. Class will begin each week with inspirational information about the figure. Participants will learn numerous techniques while working from the live model in the classroom and will have the opportunity to see a variety of styles used by various individual artists. An additional material cost will be collected each night of the workshop.

JCC offers state of the art fitness equipment, with personal attention to individual’s needs and fitness goals. Participants will receive orientation on fitness equipment, optional physical fitness testing, a body composition test and written exercise program upon request. Participants are welcome to sign up each semester. The workshop activity will take place in the JCC McGrann Fitness Center. Call 786-2338 or 786-2232 for an orientation appt.
Bring your digital camera and USB cord to this workshop to learn about the basics of digital photography. Learn to take indoor and outdoor photos, upload and edit your photos to print or share on social media. This is a class for beginners or those with a bit more experience.
Participants will learn eBay basics including how to set up an account, buy and place bids, how to judge sellers, and learn about various shipping and payment options. Students will also learn selling basics including how to add a picture to a listing to make it more appealing and learn about pricing and other basics. Participants must be experienced with using a computer, with accessing the Internet and must have an active e-mail address.
Apple’s iCloud service provides seamless integration of all your music, photos, contacts, calendars, email, and more across multiple Apple computers, iPads and iPhones. This workshop will help you discover how to use the features of iCloud to manage and share your information, so that it is synced wirelessly and always available at your fingertips! Participants are encouraged to bring their Apple devices to experiment with.

Have a Mac computer, and need to know how to use it? This is the workshop for you! Our Mac Basics course is a great option for those who are just getting started. We’ll begin with an overview of how the user interface works, and how to customize your own preferences. Then we’ll take the majority of our time to work hands on with the apps included on every Mac. Participants who own any of the MacBook family of portable computers are encouraged to bring them and follow along during the workshop! NOTE: Laptops will not be provided, students should plan to bring their own laptops.
Take your existing knowledge of Mac OS X to the next level with our Mac Unleashed workshop! We’ll spend our time learning how to use the latest features included in the Mac operating system. Participants who own any of the MacBook family of portable computers are encouraged to bring them and follow along during the workshop! Topics include Managing and Preserving Your Data, iCloud, Facetime, Messages, AirDrop, etc.
Enroll in this basic class and learn the fundamentals of sketching and basic drawing techniques in a fun, laid back format! The topics covered will include using a grid, the components of a picture, hard and soft lines, basic shading, blending and layering, as well as smudging. Bring pencils and a sketch pad to this workshop.
