Campus Life

With a student body of nearly 4000 students, we think you’ll find JCC’s campus to be safe, friendly and easy to find your way around. On the social side of campus life, we offer lots of activities outside the classroom that fit a variety of personalities and interests.

From big-name concerts to a student opening up for a famous comedian; from performances by a slam poet or American Shakespeare Center on Tour to nationally-known guest speakers – the social, cultural and educational entertainment is right here on campus and chosen by you - our students! Plus, there are plenty of opportunities to develop your leadership skills and express your creativity through extracurricular involvement in 30+ clubs and organizations.

For sports fans and athletes, JCC offers first-rate facilities for both team and individual athletics including a fitness center, dance studio, and nature trails for walking, running or cross-country skiing.

The Cannoneers have an excellent reputation within the Mid-State Athletic Conference of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and have soccer (m/w), baseball, basketball (m/w), golf (m/e), lacrosse (m/w), softball and volleyball teams. We have won over 18 championships and more than twenty of our top athletes have been recognized as All-Americans and many continue their athletic careers at four-year colleges.

On the ‘conveniences’ side of campus life, Jefferson offers many services to make your experience at Jefferson a good one! We offer:

• child care
• health & wellness services
• career planning and job placement
• academic support services

While JCC does not currently have on-campus housing, plans are underway with the Faculty Student Association to build on-campus residence halls, with an expected opening date of Fall 2014.
