Francesca J. Barajas Named JCC Athlete of the Week
Sophomore outside hitter, Francesca J. Barajas, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Volleyball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending October 14, 2012. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions. Francesca, a 2011 graduate of Watertown High School, is majoring in humanities and social sciences at Jefferson. Barajas’s accomplishments on the court this past weekend include compiling 19 service points, 43 digs, and 14 kills. It was Frannie's consistent, tough serving that led to the game four defeat of #1 ranked Niagara County Community College. She refused to let the ball drop on defense and had some great kills against some big blockers. Congratulations, Frannie!
