Scanlon Learning and Success Center (LSC)

The Carole Scanlon Learning and Success Center (LSC) seeks to promote a passion for academic excellence in all Jefferson students. It is our goal to enhance the learning outcomes of students through use of our services.

We use a student-centered approach to provide:

• Academic tutoring
• Accommodations for students with disabilities
• Coaching for students in academic distress
• College placement exams
• Credit by exams
• New Student Services: Transitions and Orientation to College

We provide space for those who wish to work independently and provide opportunities for others who prefer to work in small groups or require one-on-one assistance. 

LSC services are free of charge to Jefferson students and are offered in two locations: 6-202 Jules Center and 5-101 Melvil Dewey Library Building. There are computer labs and printers at both locations for student use.
