Earth Week Events at JCC Apr. 21-25

Jefferson Community College (JCC) will hold an Earth Week Celebration beginning Monday, April 21 through Friday, April 25, 2014 with several scheduled activities to raise awareness of environmental issues such as sustainability, climate stabilization and population management.

The weeklong celebration will include daily lectures. In addition to lectures, JCC will offer many eco-friendly contests and activities for students such as a tree and flower identification photo contest, a campus trail pick-up followed by a hiking and biking event, can-it contest whereby campus clubs and organizations compete to collect the most deposit bottles/cans, a seedling sale and an Arbor Day tree planting project.
