Dean Jill Pippin Receives Outstanding Continuing Educator Award

Jefferson Community College (JCC) is pleased to announce Jill M. Pippin, dean for continuing education, was presented the 2013 Outstanding Continuing Educator Award from the Continuing Education Association of New York (CEANY). Pippin was presented the award at the annual CEANY conference held on November 7, 2013. The Outstanding Continuing Educator Award lauds an individual who has made exemplary contributions to the general field of continuing education on a state, national or international level. At Jefferson, Dean Pippin has overseen the expansion of the College’s professional growth and personal enrichment workshop offerings on campus, as well as applied for and implemented grant funding that allowed the College to deliver workforce skills training to rural communities. Additionally, the Jefferson Higher Education Center (JHEC) has grown under her leadership to include seven partnerships with academic institutions that provide 13+ bachelor’s and master’s programs on Jefferson’s campus.

Pippin holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego and a master’s degree in business administration from Franklin University.
