Jefferson Business Symposium to be held April 13

Jefferson Community College (JCC) Business Department will hold a Jefferson Business Symposium on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Sturtz Theater. High school and college students are invited to attend! There is no registration fee.

The Jefferson Business Symposium is designed to bring together business minded students and members of the business community for a shared learning and networking event. Students will have the chance to meet and talk with business professionals and entrepreneurs as well as learn about current business trends, challenges, and best practices. The event features a keynote address and breakout sessions.

Daniel Soules, senior partner in Soules & Dunn Development Group and President/CEO of Grant Avenue Development, will deliver the keynote address. His rags to riches story is quite compelling as part owner of a business valued at an estimated $60 million. Soules & Dunn Development Group owns and operates real estate based companies including medical office buildings, pharmacies, a golf course, and professional retail/office space. Coupled with that, as President/CEO of Grant Avenue Development, Soules’ investment in 39 Arby’s Restaurants and Tim Hortons produces nets sales estimated at $40 million annually.

During the Jefferson Business Symposium, students will have the opportunity to tour the College’s newly opened John W. Deans Collaborative Learning Center.
