Express Admissions

The admissions office is offering an opportunity for Express Admissions from August 3rd to August 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students will begin by meeting with an admissions counselor to discuss the process and their opportunities at Jefferson.  The student will then complete the free online application if they have not already done so.  Applicants will have the opportunity to tour the campus including the new residence hall.  Depending on availability, applicants interested in living on campus in East Hall can apply, pay deposit and be accepted for housing. The student should bring a copy of high school transcript or GED with them if possible.

Higher Education Day/Night

One of the largest college fairs held in northern New York, the Higher Education program is located in the JCC gymnasium and includes over 100 colleges. It is being held October 5th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  High school students and parents from the surrounding counties are encouraged to attend our fair, as well as JCC students interested in transfer options. The JCC booth is staffed by faculty, admissions staff, and student ambassadors.  Attendees have an opportunity to meet JCC faculty, discuss programs, and learn about the admissions process.  The Financial Aid office presents workshops on the FAFSA process and available scholarships.

Open House

We hope you plan to attend our college-wide Open House on Friday, November 13th and see for yourself why Jefferson Community College is the right choice for you! Parents and family members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

At the Open House you can get your questions answered - whether they are about admissions and financial aid, athletics, academic programs, support services, student clubs, or about what kind of fun you are sure to experience at Jefferson! You can also tour a suite in our residence hall which opened in Fall 2014.

Lunch will be provided. So we may plan accordingly, please complete the registration form.

Personal Appointments

A personal appointment with an admissions counselor or the Director of Admissions can be scheduled at the applicant’s request.  Appointments may be scheduled as either a personal meeting or a telephone appointment.  We know applicant’s busy schedules may require a telephone conversation, which is fine!
