JCC Board Trustees Appoints Presidential Search Committee

In a resolution passed on October 5, the Jefferson Community College Board of Trustees appointed thirteen individuals to serve on the Presidential Search Committee.  Over the course of the next several months, the Presidential Search Committee will assist and advise in the national search process and work of selecting a new president of Jefferson Community College.

The board of trustees has retained Mr. Jesse Thompson and Ms. Liz Rocklin, senior consultants with R.H. Perry & Associates in Asheville, NC, to assist with the search.

Jefferson trustee Michael W. Crowley will chair the committee.  A principal with Crowley & Halloran, CPAs, P.C. in Watertown, Mr. Crowley has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2008 and served as the Board’s Chair from 2012-2014.  Mr. Crowley is currently the Chair of the Board's Personnel Committee.

In May, College president Carole A. McCoy announced her plans to retire at the end of the 2016-2017 academic year. The Board of Trustees and the search committee are working toward a goal of concluding the presidential search in late spring 2017, with a new college president taking the helm in early summer 2017.
