New Student

If your goal is to obtain a degree or certificate from JCC:

  1. Follow the “How to Apply” steps for Admission
  2. Apply for Financial Aid, even if you are only taking one or two courses or you do not think you qualify. There are numerous options for financial assistance.
  3. Review the JCC Programs of Study and make a note of the courses required to complete your desired program. If you know what field you are interested in but not sure what program will help start you in that right direction, or you are unsure what program you want, Career Counselor in the Advising, Career and Transfer Center can help you.
  4. Preview the class schedule to get a general idea of the classes available to you
  5. Call 315-786-2271 to make an appointment with the Advising, Career and Transfer Center (ACTC) Advisor who will provide assistance with your course selection and the registration process.

If you live more than 60 miles from campus, we can also schedule a phone (315-786-2271) or an email (advising@sunyjefferson.edu) appointment.
