Hospitality & Tourism Certificate Online Option Offered

Jefferson Community College (JCC) has added a new online learning option to its existing Hospitality and Tourism (HAT) certificate program. Whether prospective students choose to pursue a HAT certificate online or on JCC’s campus, the program requirements are the same. Consisting of 24-college credits, the HAT certificate may be completed in one year with full-time study or longer with part-time study. Upon successful completion, Jefferson graduates are prepared for professional entry level jobs in the fields of hotel and restaurant management or kitchen management and culinary work.

The online learning option offers added convenience for the aspiring student who is ready to take their career in hospitality and tourism further, and provides a taste of what to expect in Jefferson’s hospitality and tourism degree program. Jefferson offers three concentrations in the HAT degree program. They are culinary arts, hotel and restaurant management, and winery management and marketing.

Fall 2017 semester classes start August 28, 2017. Applying to Jefferson is free and the admissions application is available online. Registration is ongoing.
