Celebrity Comedy Show to be held September 23

Jefferson Community College Student Activities will host a Celebrity Comedy Show featuring actors/comedians Steven Michael Quezada and Thea Vidale on Saturday, September 23 at 8:00 p.m. in Sturtz Theater. Opening act will feature local comedian Matt Clark who served as emcee of the former Sackets Harbor Lake Ontario Playhouse and who earned first place in the Lake Ontario Playhouse Funniest Local Comedian contest.

Steven Michael QuezadaSteven Michael QuezadaGet your laugh on with opening act by Steven Michael Quezada, touted as one of the most noted comedians out of the southwest! Quezada’s greatest fame notably comes from his role as DEA agent Gomez in the Emmy Award winning series Breaking Bad. In addition, he has appeared on television series In Plain Sight, Wildfire, Crash, The Arsenio Hall Show, HBO, Showtime, and Saturday Night Live. He hosted his own show, The After After Party! Produced in 2010, The After After Party spanned two years and 100 episodes.


Thea VidaleThea VidaleGet ready for even more laughter when Thea Vidale takes the stage! Most known for her role in the 1993 ABC sitcom Thea, the first TV show to cast an African American female comedian. Not shy to controversy, Vidale is known for her sassy delivery and raw depictions of American culture. Vidale has appeared on The Drew Carey ShowUgly Betty, and My Wife and Kids and most recently, NBC’s Last Comic Standing and TV Guide’s Standup in Stilettos. In the early years of her career, Vidale appeared with comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Tim Allen.

Tickets cost $15 and may be purchased by calling the JCC Students Activities Office, (315) 786-2431, or in person in Room 4-104, McVean Center. JCC students who present their SUNY ID will receive one free ticket.
