Fall Community Concerts to be held on Dec. 6 & 7

Catch the holiday spirit with music at Jefferson Community College (JCC) when students and North Country community members perform their annual holiday concerts in December. Concerts, held in the Robert R. and Jean S. Sturtz Theater, are free admission.

On Wednesday, December 6, the JCC Orchestra Ensemble and JCC Wind Ensemble will perform their annual fall concert at 7:00 p.m. Under the direction of Daniel L. Mosher, Carthage, musicians will perform a medley of selections.

On Thursday, December 7, the Jefferson Singers and Jazz Rock Ensemble will perform a medley of seasonal selections at 7:30 p.m.  The Jefferson Singers are under the direction of Clancy E. Cox, Watertown, and the Jazz Rock Ensemble is under the direction of Daniel L. Mosher.     

The Jefferson Singers, Jazz Rock Ensemble, JCC Orchestra Ensemble and JCC Wind Ensemble are credit-bearing humanities courses open to anyone. Community members, not seeking college credit, may join the music ensembles by registering with payment through the JCC Continuing Education Division, 315-786-2233. Individuals, age 60 and over, may qualify for a tuition waiver to join the ensemble free of charge by contacting JCC Enrollment Services at 315-786-2437.
