JCC Associate Degree in Nursing Program Ranked #1 in NYS

Once again, Jefferson Community College (JCC) associate degree in nursing program has received high ranks by RegisteredNursing.org! The College’s nursing program ranks #1 among associate degree programs in New York State and is the #1 ranking SUNY nursing program.  

Graduates of Jefferson’s nursing program hold the highest National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) pass rate. For the past 3 years, 100% of JCC graduates have passed the NCLEX on their first attempt. 

To help facilitate the selection process for prospective nursing students, RegisteredNursing.org analyze associate, bachelor’s and direct entry master’s nursing degree programs of 99 schools. Ranking methodology is based on current and historical NCLEX pass rates. Required for licensure, NCLEX is used by all state boards across the United States to help access a student’s competency.

Jefferson is the only community college in the North Country to offer a nursing degree program in two formats, a traditional weekday format and a weekend format. Nursing students at Jefferson are taught in state-of-the-art nursing laboratories along with lecture facilities and gain increased nursing simulation laboratory time resulting in more practice time, producing optimum results. Partnerships between Jefferson and Samaritan Medical Center and Upstate Medical University provide top-notch clinical opportunities for JCC students. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, JCC’s nursing degree program can be completed in two years.
