Learn about Bachelor's & Advanced Degrees at JCC Aug. 8
On August 8, 2012, community members are invited to learn about the bachelor’s and advanced degree programs offered in Watertown through the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Higher Education Center (JHEC)partner institutions. Two open houses will be held on Wednesday, August 8, the first from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in rooms E-117 and E-118, Extended Learning Center, Building E. Representatives from Jefferson and partner institutions will present a brief overview of degree program information followed by an informal opportunity for one-on-one discussion with interested students. Community members may drop in at any time.
Jefferson Higher Education Center partners include Keuka College, St. John Fisher College, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Empire State College, SUNY Potsdam and SUNY Upstate Medical University. Bachelor’s degree completion programs include business administration, criminal justice, nursing, early childhood studies, and social work. Master’s degree programs include family nurse practitioner, childhood education, literacy educator, literacy specialist, curriculum and instruction, and information/communication technology with a concentration in organizational leadership. Additionally, Empire State College’s individualized bachelor’s degrees through the Pathways Transfer Program are available and St. John Fisher College will offer an education doctorate in executive leadership.
