Quick Admit Day & Career Exploration Workshop Aug. 11

Are you ready to apply to college and begin classes in August?  Are you uncertain about what career path suits you best? You won’t want to miss Jefferson Community College (JCC) quick admit day and career exploration workshop on Thursday, August 11.  Quick admit day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the career exploration workshop runs from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Jules Center, building 6.

The quick admit session will provide all of the services necessary to apply and get accepted to Jefferson in one location. Learn about Jefferson’s academic programs, student life, faculty, small class size, affordable tuition, and housing opportunities. Admissions and financial aid counselors will be available to assist with completing JCC’s free application for admission and applying for financial aid. Attendees will complete assessment testing, if necessary, and schedule an advising appointment to register for Fall 2011 classes that begin Monday, August 29. Campus tours will also be available.

Get accepted to JCC on the spot! Just bring these two items:

  1. A completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form or a copy of your (and your parent’s, if applicable) 2010 W-2’s and tax forms.  FAFSA forms are available online at www.sunyjefferson.edu and in the JCC Financial Services office. If you have not registered for a PIN, please do so at www.pin.ed.gov
  2. High school graduation verification (copy of your transcript, GED or diploma).

Are you undecided about coming to college because you are uncertain about a program to study? JCC’s career exploration workshop will help you explore career interests, engage in a career inventory and match your career and personal interests with JCC programs.
