“Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” Performance at JCC May 13 & 14

The Dionysian Players of Jefferson Community College (JCC) are rehearsing for their upcoming performance of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” Performances are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14. Both shows will be held in the Robert R. and Jean S. Sturtz Theater at JCC.

The stage performance of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” is based on the novel written by author Robert Louis Stevenson. Published in 1886, Stevenson’s novel follows a character battling a disorder now known as split personality. The friendly and outgoing Dr. Jekyll is investigated by his lawyer friend because of strange occurrences that take place when Mr. Hyde, a mysterious and violent man, enters the scene. Eventually, Mr. Hyde gains power over Dr. Jekyll and the battle between good and evil ensues. Does the good Dr. Jekyll overcome the evil Mr. Hyde? To find out, come see the performance at JCC on May 13 or May 14.

The Dionysian Players is a Jefferson club for students with an interest in theater and performing arts.

General admission tickets are $5.00. Tickets are free for JCC students who present college ID. Tickets can be purchased at the Student Activities Center in the McVean Student Center (Room 4-100) or by calling 315-786-2431.
