Fast Track Your Degree! Register Now for Summer Courses

Registration is open for Jefferson Community College (JCC) summer 2011 classes beginning June 6. Summer courses are offered during the day and evening on the main campus in Watertown, during the evening on Fort Drum, and online. Students can earn college credit fast, in as little as 4 or 8 weeks, during summer session, without compromising the quality of their education. Classes end on or before August 5, allowing students a break before Fall 2011 semester begins.

The early 4-week online session will run June 6 through July 1, while the late 4-week online session will run July 11 through August 5. In addition to the seventy courses offered online, Jefferson offers nearly 100 courses on campus or on Fort Drum. The full 8-week summer session will run June 6 through July 29.

Taking a class during the summer months is a great way for college students to get a prerequisite (or two) out of the way before beginning the Fall 2011 semester at JCC or at another school. Some classes require vast amounts of individual attention or lab time, and summer is a great time to take them as standalone classes. Summer classes also provide an opportunity for college students to get ahead of schedule, shortening their time to graduation.
