American Red Cross Blood Drive at JCC Mar. 24

Did you know that it takes less than one hour to donate enough blood to save three lives? Imagine the big difference you can make in such little time! OnThursday, March 24the American Red Cross will hold ablood drive at Jefferson Community College(JCC) in theMcVean Center Gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.The event is sponsored by JCC student government and is open to the public.

The American Red Cross Blood Services reports the need for all blood types, especially O negative blood. A 5–7 day supply of blood is essential to meet routine hospital needs and to be prepared for emergencies.

Appointments are recommended, but not required. Contributors should bring identification such as a driver’s license or another photo ID and allow 45–60 minutes to complete the donor form, give blood, and rest with a refreshment.
