Exciting new changes are happening at Jefferson Community College that make it easier for you to access your information and web applications like SOAR, Cannonmail and Blackboard. Because of this, the myJCC link is changing.
If you have never logged in, you must change your initial password before you will be allowed to log onto the computers on campus or to any web application. Follow the directions on the screen to change your password and once complete, click the myJCC button.
Your myJCC username and password are the same as the ID/password you use to log into Blackboard, the computers on campus and the wireless network. Username is your first initial, last name (all in lower case) and the month and day of your birth date (MMDD format, no spaces or punctuation). Your initial password is your birthday in six-digit format (MMDDYY). Example: John Doe was born June 5, 1985. His username = jdoe0605; password = 060585.
For now, you can still click on the link above to go to Blackboard and your courses directly, however you can also access Blackboard through the new myJCC campus portal (see below). Note: On August 15, the myJCC link will be changed to go directly to the portal only.
The new myJCC portal provides one gateway for you to access important information and provides automatic entry (only one log-in!) to important web applications so you can check your class schedule, register for classes, and check your financial aid information (SOAR); go to your online classes and access web information for your on-campus classes (Blackboard); go to your email (CannonMail); and much more. In addition, you will receive important announcements, easily view a calendar of upcoming campus events, as well as find information about campus services. You can personalize your portal pages as well.
You can access the new portal directly now (https://myjcc.sunyjefferson.edu), and on August 15, the myJCC link will be changed to go directly to the portal. The portal is still in development – check back often to see the newest capabilities.
We recommend that you bookmark these sites so you can get to them quickly and easily!
