Make a Difference on Sept. 20—Give Blood at JCC

Did you know that it takes less than one hour to donate enough blood to save three lives? Imagine the big difference you can make in such little time! On Monday, September 20 the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at Jefferson Community College (JCC) in the McVean Center Gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event is sponsored by JCC student government and is open to the public.

The American Red Cross Blood Services reports the need for all blood types, especially O negative blood. A 5–7 day supply of blood is essential to meet routine hospital needs and to be prepared for emergencies.

Appointments are recommended, but not required. Contributors should bring identification such as a driver’s license or another photo ID and allow 45–60 minutes to complete the donor form, give blood, and rest with a refreshment.

Schedule an appointment today! Call the JCC student activities center at 315-786-2431 or stop in Room 4-100 in the McVean Student Center.
