Don’t Miss Saving Abel Concert Oct. 16 at JCC

The Student Activities Center at Jefferson Community College (JCC) is excited to announce that Saving Abel will perform a rare small-venue concert in the College’s Sturtz Theater on October 16 at 8:00 p.m.. The Watertown-based band Clinch will open for Saving Abel.

Saving Abel is a hard-rocking quintet from Mississippi. The band’s self-titled first album, released in 2008, produced three Billboard chart singles: Addicted, 18 Days, and Drowning (Face Down). The band’s second album, Miss America, written on the road while touring across America and released in June 2010, debuted at #24 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart.

Earlier this year, the Mississippi rockers kicked off their world tour with special performances for U.S. troops serving in India, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq and at a unique venue in the middle of the Pacific Ocean aboard the naval supercarrier USS Carl Vinson. Saving Abel’s repertoire includes performances alongside American songwriter/rapper Kid Rock and Ludacris as part of MTV’s “A Night for Vets: An MTV Concert for the Brave.”

Concert tickets will go on sale for JCC students on Friday, September 10 at 12:00 p.m. The general public will be able to purchase tickets beginning Friday, September 17 at 12:00 p.m. All seating is general admission and tickets cost $40.
