Summer 2010 Registration Open at JCC

Registration is open for summer 2010 classes offered by Jefferson Community College (JCC). Summer courses are taught online, on the main campus in Watertown and at Fort Drum, during the day and evenings, and are available in flexible 4-week and 8-week formats. All summer classes end on or before August 6 allowing students a break before the Fall 2010 semester begins.

The early 4-week online session will run from June 7 through July 2 while the late 4-week online session will run from July 12 through August 6. In addition to the sixty-two courses offered online, Jefferson offers students more than seventy courses on campus and on Fort Drum to choose from. The full 8-week summer session will run from June 7 through July 30.

Taking a class during the summer months is a great way for college students to get a prerequisite (or two) out of the way before beginning the Fall 2010 semester at JCC or at another school. Some classes require vast amounts of individual attention or lab time and summer is a great time to take one as a standalone class. Additionally, summer classes provide college students with the opportunity to get ahead of schedule, shortening their time to graduation.
