JCC Community Resources Fair & Dollar Dinner Mar. 24

Jefferson Community College (JCC) will host “Step into Spring”, a Community Resources Fair on Wednesday, March 24 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Jules Center Commons. The Fair is free and open to the community.

Vendors will provide information on a variety of topics ranging from warm weather recreational opportunities and fitness programs to family support services to community gardens, farmers’ markets and food programs. Additionally, the community fair will provide a great opportunity to network and learn about summer job opportunities.

During the fair, JCC will hold its first Dollar Dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Walker Instructional Dining Room, Jules Center. Dinners will be prepared by JCC culinary students as a service learning project. Takeouts are available.

Dollar Dinner coupons, for community members who cannot afford the $1 meal, are available at the door and at these locations: Community Action Planning Council, 518 Davidson Street; the Salvation Army, 723 State Street; Catholic Charities, 812 State Street; the Watertown Urban Mission, 247 Factory Street; and the Jefferson Community College Outreach Office, 1220 Coffeen Street.
